St. Bartholomew Catholic Church

St. Bartholomew Parish in Columbus, IN has a twin parish relationship with St. Anne Parish in Limonade, Haiti. The twinning relationship began in 1992. Friends of Haiti Ministry is the planning group that coordinates the activities of the twinning.

Parish twinning is a relationship between the two parishes based on dignity and mutual respect. The relationship is based on the exchange of mutual prayer, correspondence, and visits between pastors and parishioners of both parishes. MISSION STATEMENT

Transforming the people of Limonade to a life of dignity, health, and sustainable self-sufficiency. Transforming the people of St. Bartholomew to a heightened awareness of the Church's preferential option for the poor.

GOALS FOR FRIENDS OF HAITI

• To encourage prayerful solidarity with our sisters and brothers at St. Anne
• To promote an awareness of the injustices present in Haiti and our Gospel call to respond
• To provide resources and support in religious, educational, medical, and economic areas
• To encourage relationships between individuals of all ages at St. Bartholomew and St. Anne.

HOW TO HELP

• Volunteer your time
• Lent/Spring: Collect change for Haiti Lenten Cartons,  Attend the Lenten Fish Fry Dinner supporting Friends of Haiti
• Fall: Volunteer or Run/Walk the Polidor 5K Run/Walk
• Christmas: Purchase Haiti Alternative Gift Certificates for Gifts
• Winter-Spring: Attend or help provide food for a pre-concert Dinner during the St. Bartholomew Concert Series
