Guest lecturer Dr. Eric Yancy is a pediatrician affiliated with Riley Hospital for Children. He was the first black pediatric resident at Riley's neonatal intensive care unit. He has spent 50 years caring for children from underserved communities - fulfilling a promise he made to himself at age 8 when he saw a mother and baby turned away from care in deeply segregated Louisiana. Dr. Yancy is also an author and a talented vocalist. Join us on October 18 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary. This is a free event; all are welcome.
